Vantasia Ltd terms and conditions

1. Deposit

There is a refundable deposit of £500. This payment can be made when picking up the vehicle. All you have to do is bring the van back in one piece, with all its bits and pieces. The vehicle will be subject to a full check over on return. The deposit will be refunded by cheque within 7 working days of the vehicle being returned to us undamaged, with a clean interior and a full tank of fuel. We reserve the right to retain a £100 cleaning fee if the bus is not returned in a clean condition.

2. Insurance excess

There is a standard insurance excess of £1000 in case of any damage to the vehicle or third party. The hirer will be liable for the first £1000 and/or any alloy wheel, tyre or windscreen damage.

3. Insurance excess reduction

An insurance excess reduction will be available and will be charged per day. Minimum charge £100.

4. Overseas travel

No overseas travel is allowed in this vehicle.

5. Drivers

Any additional drivers will incur an additional charge per person. The age limit of drivers is 25-70 years as insurance policies dictate. Driver must have held a valid driving licence for more than 3 years. Production of a valid driving licence by all drivers must be shown when picking up the vehicle. There is a maximum of 3 drivers per rental and drivers must provide two separate forms of identification i.e. credit card and passport.

6. Driving restrictions

All vehicles may only be driven on sealed roads e.g. tarmac, concrete. We reserve the right at any time, at our own discretion to restrict where you take the vehicle due to severe weather conditions or any other reasonable cause.

7. Use of the vehicle

The hirer must agree that:-

  • The vehicle must be driven in a cautious, prudent and normal manner and not in any way which could cause damage.
  • The vehicle must be driven on a public highway. No prohibited areas.
  • The vehicle must not be driven by any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • The vehicle must not be left with the key inside whilst unattended. It must not be left unoccupied with stereo on show, or TV/DVD without its cover on. Also steering security lock must be applied and alarm switched on. The vehicle must be parked in a safe place.
  • The vehicle must not be driven in any way where submersion in water or contact with salt water is likely.
  • It must not be used for illegal purposes, race rally or contest.
  • It must not be used to tow any vehicle or trailer.
  • It must not be used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward
  • It must not be used to carry more persons than permitted.
  • It must not be over loaded or have any unsecure loads.

8. Maintenance

The hirer shall take the appropriate steps to maintain the vehicle. This includes checking the oil, water and batteries and the correct tyre pressure.

9. Responsibility if accident occurs

In the event of any accident or damage caused through the use of the vehicle, you must notify us immediately. You must obtain the names and addresses of third parties, witnesses and report the event to police. Do not make any admission of liability to any other parties and assist us in handiling any claim arising from any event. You are authorised to drive the vehicle on the conditions of the insurance policy document and out terms and conditions. If you do not comply with these conditions you will be liable to us for any liability or loss incurred by us or any damages or reasonable expenses we suffer or incur as a result of your breach. You may additionally lose the benefit of any waivers of insurance selected by you. A copy of the insurance document is available on request.

10. Gas bottles

There are two gas bottles supplied. One will have gas in, the other may be empty. It is the hirer's responsibility to refill at their own cost.

11. Fuel

When you pick up the vehicle it will have a full tank of petrol. Please return it also with a full tank of petrol. Please remember the van runs on unleaded fuel only.

12. Smoking

It is illegal to smoke inside both the campervan and awning. Therefore we would ask that you kindly adhere to these rules.

13. Pets

We are unfortunately unable to allow pets within our campervan or awninf due to the cleaning involved between rentals ond other hirer's potential allergies.

14. Trading address

Vantasia Ltd, 74 Middleton Road, Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 2JJ. You are welcome to park your car on our driveway, althought Vantasia Ltd cannotn take responsibility for the loss of, or damage to the vehicle or its contents, however caused.

15. Breakdown cover

UK wide breakdown and recovery for roadside and overnight location assistance is included within the hire fee. If they are unable to fix the vehicle at the scene of the breakdown they will transport the hire vehicle, all passengers and your luggage back to Vantasia Ltd's premises. A replacement vehicle will be provided if possible, or will be fixed at the premises. In the event of a breakdown hirers must call the number provided in the manual and follow the instructions provided as well as making Vantasia Ltd aware of the breakdown. Under no circumstances should the hirer or any of the hire party try to repair the vehicle themselves unless agreed by Vantasia Ltd. You should not use any other breakdown service other than the one stated.

16. Release of indemnity

The hirer releases Vantasia Ltd of any liability caused by the hirers to themselves or third parties or their property. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you or any member of your party or to your or their property, except where such loss or damage is due to our negligence. If we are negligent our liability to you will be limited to the loss or damage which was a foreseeable result of such negligence. Except in the case of death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, our total liability to you in respect of any breach of these Terms & Conditions or tort or other act or omission by us in connection with this contract shall be limited to the price agreed to be paid by you for the right to use the campervan for the period agreed.

Whole Agreement These Terms & Conditions override and supersede all previous versions and any previous course of dealing between the parties and incorporate the whole agreement together with any insurance conditions notified to you at the time of hire or collection. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms & Conditions and any other of our literature, the provisions of these Terms & Conditions will prevail. The booking agreement shall be governed by the law of Great Britain and if any provision of these Terms & Conditions are prohibited by law or judged by a court to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, the provision shall, to the extent required, be severed from this agreement and rendered ineffective as far as possible without modifying the remaining provisions of this agreement, and shall not in any way affect any other circumstances of or the validity or enforcement of these Terms & Conditions.

Breaches of these Terms & Conditions If you commit a breach of these Terms & Conditions we will have the right to terminate your booking and we may require you to vacate the campervan immediately. In the event of you committing a breach of these Terms & Conditions no refund of the fees you have paid will be returnable to you. You will also be liable for any costs incurred in returning the campervan to our premises.
